A growing business with locations across the state is likely to face a number of resource challenges.

Al Payton, vice president of Alabama Business Furnishings understands that sometimes the best information technology staff you can hire isn't necessarily your own.

"Forté Incorporated has been our on-call computer service and support staff for more than three years," Payton said. "Any time we have a problem with our network, email, or any computer program, we call Forté."

With four locations in Birmingham, Huntsville and Montgomery, ABF is one of the state's largest suppliers of office furniture. While the information management needs of ABF are significant, in-house staffing is not necessarily the best business choice.

"Using Forté is a very economical solution for us," Payton said. "It keeps us from having to hire a staff member. At the same time, we get the benefit of the expertise of the entire Forté staff," he said.

"We trust Forté so much and have so much confidence in them," Payton said, "anyone at our company is free to call them with any problem."
