PolyDesign Shutters was developed by AVBCO in 1948 and offers the most extensive line of shutters available in America.

When the company wanted to improve its operations and help its fabrication customers, they turned to Forté.

The Forté-developed ShutterDesign™ software provides a platform for the company's business and manufacturing operations. The software is also provided by PolyDesign to their fabrication customers.

In addition to being a robust desktop application, the ShutterDesign software system utilizes secure web services to exchange software updates, order information and other data between PolyDesign and each fabricator.  The system is more secure, faster and easier to use than a web browser-based system yet still has the communication advantages the Internet provides.

"We replaced an existing software system with one that provided more features while being easier to use," said Forté Senior Consultant John Huddleston, "and the client is using this as a platform to add even more features and value."

"The program has improved our production and made our operation more efficient," Yokel said.
